Border Terriers are affectionate and love to be part of the family. They are active and need regular mental and physical exercise. 

 

Border Terriers are great little dogs, but please be sure to read up on this breed to ensure they are a good fit for your lifestyle.  They were originally bred to flush out and kill foxes and still retain a strong prey drive. Border Terriers have a wiry coat that requires grooming; they do shed and are not hypoallergenic. Border Terriers are skilled escape artists, so it's best to keep them occupied as much as possible.
